Fall mini photo sessions 2026 at Knox Mountain Park, Kelowna | Kelowna Family Photographer

Fall is definitely my favourite season for family photography in Kelowna, and Knox Mountain is one of my favourite locations for capturing beautiful outdoor family photos. The golden-hour light and fall colours made this recent family mini session especially beautiful.

This family was so much fun to photograph, and their three-month-old baby girl was absolutely adorable. She seemed to really enjoy the whole photo session. She was smiling, looking right at me, and was somehow not cranky, not hungry, and not sleepy the entire time. Her parents were joking that she must have been saving all of that for after the session!

Even their dog Maui got in on the fun. He was curious about what I was doing and spent most of the session watching me, which gave us some great family moments with him too.

Everyone was relaxed, easy to work with, which made the session flow naturally. I used the soft evening sunlight together with an off-camera flash on a stand with a softbox to create soft, flattering portraits while keeping the natural feel of Knox Mountain.

As a Kelowna family photographer, I love sessions like this because they don't have to be perfectly posed. The funny faces, cuddles, and genuine personalities are what make Knox Mountain family photos special.
