Fall mini photo sessions 2026 at Knox Mountain Park, Kelowna | Kelowna Family Photographer

Fall is definitely my favourite season for family photography in Kelowna, and Knox Mountain is one of my favourite locations for capturing beautiful outdoor family photos. The golden-hour light and fall colours made this recent family mini session especially beautiful.

This was such a fun family to photograph. The couple brought their 11-year-old son along, and we had a great time capturing plenty of happy smiles and funny faces. He had a great personality and wasn't afraid to have some fun in front of the camera, which made it easy to capture genuine moments and expressions.

There was a nice mix of relaxed family portraits, big smiles, and playful moments. I always enjoy sessions where families can loosen up, laugh together, and simply enjoy being with each other instead of worrying about getting every pose perfect.

I used the beautiful evening sunlight together with an off-camera flash on a stand with a softbox to create soft, flattering light while keeping the warm, natural feel of Knox Mountain.

As a Kelowna family photographer, I love sessions like this because they don't have to be perfectly posed. The funny faces, cuddles, smiles, laughter and little interactions are what make each session unique and turn family photos into memories you'll enjoy looking back on.
