Fall mini photo sessions 2026 at Knox Mountain Park, Kelowna | Kelowna Engagement Photographer

Fall is definitely my favourite season for engagement photography in Kelowna, and Knox Mountain is one of my favourite locations for capturing capturing couples outdoors. The golden-hour light and fall colours made this engagement session especially beautiful.

This was such a cute couple to photograph, and they were incredibly easy to work with. Before the session, she mentioned that her boyfriend was a little shy and might feel awkward in front of the camera. I honestly had almost no work to do with him!

Once I quickly explained a pose, he would just do it on the first attempt. No awkward pauses, no multiple retakes, and very little direction needed. He picked everything up so quickly and did such a great job in front of the camera.

The two of them also had a really natural connection, which made it easy to capture genuine smiles, laughs, and those little moments between poses.

I used the beautiful evening sunlight together with an off-camera flash on a stand with a softbox to create soft, flattering light while keeping the warm atmosphere of Knox Mountain.

As a Kelowna engagement photographer, I love sessions like this because you don't need to be experienced in front of the camera. A little direction, some trust, and a couple who are comfortable being themselves can create some amazing photos.
